CORONATION 2023

As we did for the Queen's platinum jubilee, Coleorton and Swannington Parish Councils are aiming to come together to host an event, probably similar to the jubilee, to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

We are just at the ideas stage – both parish councils have agreed in principle. Previous community events - Christmas on the Green, Platinum Jubilee - have been planned, organised and carried out by a very small number of people, so we would like to suggest that parishioners may want to get involved and set up an "Events Committee" to generate ideas and help with the organisation and delivery of an event.

We both have an interest in both parish councils. Our intention would be to have an introductory session one evening either at the Beaumont Centre in Coleorton or Swannington Village Hall (or maybe a local pub depending upon numbers!)."
