Letter From Manor House Surgery

Hello,

My name is Lynne Keeling and I am the Practice Manager of Manor House Surgery in Belton.

As we are all aware, we are currently living and working throughout exceptional and unprecedented time. The Government is asking people to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives. By joining together within local communities we need to help protect the more vulnerable members of our society, the elderly and those with long term chronic diseases.

It is our understanding that local Parish Councils are being asked to help co-ordinate voluntary activities within their Parishes and we would welcome your help and support in this essential initiative.

We are continuing to provide medical services and medications through our Dispensary to our patients who live in many of the local villages together with local Community Pharmacists; but we are under extreme pressure due to high demand, staff absence and stock shortages. We need people to help collect and deliver medications to those people who are currently in self-isolation.

Many people will have families and neighbours to support them but some won't. We would like to build up a register of contacts whom our patients could contact if they are experiencing difficulties and need someone to collect their medications on their behalf.

What we need at this moment in time is for the Parish Council and/or other local organisations within our area to spread the word that there are people who can be contacted when they need help and how they can be contacted and we need this information quickly.

I can be contacted on 07900 402099 or by email on lkeeling@nhs.net

Together we can make things better and hopefully save lives.

Thank you and stay safe.

Kind regards

On behalf of

Dr Melanie Aram and Dr Jamie Gordon
